Transport moisture limit (TML) refers to the maximum moisture content that can ensure safety when transported by ships that do not meet the special requirements of the international maritime solid bulk cargo code. The fluidization prone goods refer to the goods that contain at least some particles and a certain amount of moisture, which may exceed the moisture limit for transportation. Because the cargo contains a certain proportion of small particles and certain moisture, it will seep or wet due to the swing of the ship during transportation. When the viscous fluid state is formed, it may flow to one side of the ship with the ship inclining to one side, but it can not return when the ship inclines to the other side, so the ship may reach a dangerous angle of inclination and suddenly capsize.
At present, there are three general methods for testing the transportable moisture limit (TML): 1 flow plate test, 2 penetration test, and 3 Proctor/ Fagerberg Test.
As each method has its own advantages, the test method should be determined by the local actual situation or by the competent authority.
Proctor/Fagerberg Tester is used for fine grains and relatively coarse grain concentrates or similar substances with a maximum grain size of 5 mm.
Add appropriate amount of water to the sample during the experiment, stir evenly with a straight edge shovel, take 1/5 into the mold experiment;
The catheter is dropped 25 times, each drop height is 150mm;
