Fire assay analysis is actually a kind of gold test method with crucible or cupel as container. There are many kinds and different operation procedures, including lead assay, bismuth assay, tin assay, antimony assay, nickel sulfide assay, copper sulfide assay, copper iron nickel assay, copper assay, iron assay, etc. Among all fire assays, lead assay is the most widely used and the most important one. Its advantage is that the lead button can be used for cupellation. The combination of lead assaying and cupellation technology can make the precious metals in tens of grams of sample concentrate in several milligrams of composite particles. In the lead assay, the capture rate of Au is more than 99%, and the recovery rate of Au as low as 0.2-0.3g/t is still very high. The accuracy of lead assay for the analysis of constant and trace precious metals is very high.
The fire assay process uses high temperature fusion furnace and cupellation furnace whose temperature is more than 1000ºC. The high temperature radiation and pernicious gas volatilization have a serious hurt to operators health. Fire assay tools can be used to reduce manual work intensity, improve work efficiency and avoid high temperature radiation.

Pot Tong can be used together with pouring trolley and pot tray. At first, place them in front of fusion furnace in sequence as per the photo. Then use pot tong to get fusion samples out of furnace and pour into steel pouring mould. Finally invert crucibles onto pot tray.
Cupels can be put onto cupel cooling rack for cooling.
Preheat the sample melting furnace to 960°C in advance, open the furnace door, and place the crucible at this time. The furnace temperature will drop to 860°C. Close the furnace door and continue to heat up. The temperature will rise to 940°C in about 15 minutes. Keep it warm for 10 minutes. Raise the temperature to 1150 degrees quickly. After the temperature reaches 1150 degrees, keep it for 10 minutes, then open the furnace door to take out the crucible.
The liquid in the crucible is poured into the steel mould in turn with the crucible fork for cooling. After cooling, the upper slag is separated from the conical lead by lifting the mold, and the slag is discarded. The metal lead button enriched with precious metals was obtained.The poured crucible is placed on the crucible storage vehicle.
